AIMEN Technology Centre

AIMEN (Coordinator) is a Non Profit association constituted by 110 companies, which supplies technological support to more than 400 companies dedicated to industrial or commercial activity related to metallurgy, automotive sector, civil construction, mechanics, shipbuilding, chemicals, foundry, machinery, ceramics, food, cement, wood and its derivates, plastics, engineering, assembly and others.
 AIMEN promotes and undertakes research, as well as improves design, simulation and joining technologies.

Helmoltz-Zentrum Geesthacht - Centre for Materials and Coastal Research

HZG Research Centre is a member of the Helmholtz Association. About 800 employees are involved in materials research at the HZG in Geesthacht and in Teltow, near Berlin. At the Institute of Materials Research at the HZG Research Centre in Geesthacht are working more than 160 employees. The “Solid State Joining Processes” Research Group is part of the Institute of Materials Research, Department Joining and Assessment, and works on basics and application oriented research topics in the area of friction welding for joining and coating. Friction Stir Processes and Friction Surfacing Processes represent one of the core competences where HZG has taken an international leading position.

Universidade Federal de Pernambuco

UFPE is a University installed in 3 campus with actuation in different knowledge fields. It is about 29,000 undergraduate and 5,000 graduate students and 2,200 teachers. The Mechanical Engineering Department (DEME) has 35 teachers with experience in R&D in Design, Thermal and Fluid Systems, Simulations, Materials Engineering and Process including Welding, Metallic and Nonmetallic Coating, Mechanical Alloy (MA) and Powder Metallurgy (PM), Smart Materials, Materials Characterization, Corrosion and Mechanical Integrity

Corporacion Mexicana de Investigacion en Materiales

COMIMSA is a R&D technological center that belongs to the system of research centers of the National Science and Technology Council of Mexico (CONACYT), having, among others, a remarkable experience in characterization of materials, especially regarding wear and corrosion issues. At this center there are specialized researchers (with 3 NACE certified corrosion specialists among others) and technical support covering metallurgical, corrosion and wear degradation areas.
